Jury Duty, April 8th 2011

I did my civic duty on Friday.  I went to Jury Duty at the Criminal Justice Center at 13th and Filbert Street.  I decided to not take any of my usual toys with me so I would have no hassles at security.

I was one of forty people who were pulled for a civil trial.  We went to courtroom 630 in City Hall.  After talking to the first fourteen potential jurors, both sides decided to settle.  We were all released and allowed to go to lunch. I decided to go to he Reading Terminal Market and have a tuna hoagie and a soda.  I went back to the jury room and we were all finally dismissed at 2:00pm.  I promptly cashed my $9.00 check and went home.
